What do we see in this work of art?

The thick fog at the foot of the mountains obscures the view of the surrounding lands. So we only have our imagination to see what lies behind it. In the foreground of the picture we see a small village surrounded by trees and located on the banks of a river. On this body of water we see a lonely fisherman going about his daily work. It's not hard for us to imagine standing right at the feet of these majestic mountains and hearing the gentle gurgling of the river. A pair of cranes could soar through the air and take us deeper into the undiscovered valleys of this landscape.
